KIPINDOEK

KIPINDOEK/BAKUSEREK is one of the clans in the kipsigis land with its members inhabiting places like:
Kamirai, Kiptome, konoin, sigor, chebunyo, boito, kaptengecha, Longisa, Chemaner, Emitiot, kipisorwet, Kapsimotwo kaplong, chelelach, Ndanai, Korgor/Gelegele, Koiwa, Kapkures, Kiptulwa, Kapkesembe, kapkatet, Sosit, Abosi, Litein, Belgut, Olenguruone among many other places that I may not have listed here.
ORIGIN
KIPINDOEK-The origin of the clan is the Oloikop of the maasai.This clan is closely associated with a woman called Chesamich who abandoned her two children that got adopted by Kipindoi. History has it that descendants of chesamich lineage became widespread that it outnumbered the other.
The clan chants are like 'Syep igor kwamee bany'.

FAMILY

 There are four families to which all the clans fall into. these are:

• KIPKAIGEK
• NG'ETUNYO
• KASANET
• KEBENI  

Kipindoek belong to the the kipkaige family with their tottem being a Bufallo.They use saptet during circumcision ceremonies(tiletab kirok).

TOTTEM

KIPINDOEK are people who had the know-how in the making arrows and most of the time they could lead during war, and during ceremonies. The name KIPINDOEK is from the word 'kipindoi' that is to say "the one who normally leads".
many of our great great grand fathers were ceremonial masters (Kibisho & Motirenik).
